The new track, co-written and co-produced by PARIS. and GoodWaterRemi (88GLAM, Erica Banks), serves as the new RandB anthem for Vancouver. PARIS. shouts out his hometown’s area code and sings, “In the 604, they call me Playboy P every time I’m back home/Posted in the ‘hood with the same gang.”
About the new single, PARIS. says, “’604’ is a record that I take a lot of pride in because it depicts my real life. I wanted to make this record for my city – I’m from Burnaby but I feel like this song could connect all the Tri-Cities together. I really wanted to bring out the good, smooth vibes in this one.”
This arrives on the heels of his debut EP Northside, which released last month backed by PARTNERS/Universal Music Canada. It included the self-directed visualizer to the title track, as well as previously released singles “Ice Spice,” “4th Quarter,” and the hit “Take the Lead” with Roy Woods.

“604” and Northside add to a prolific run for PARIS. who has shared a steady stream of new music this year, consistently leveling up with each release. It all started with “Ice Spice,” released in August 2023, racking up hundreds of thousands of streams before he dropped “IDK” a few months later. He kicked off 2024 with “Me N Mines,” a collaboration with California rapper MBNel, before jumping back into his RandB bag with “BNB” and dropping the Toronto Raptors-approved “4th Quarter.” This summer, PARIS. released “Take the Lead” with OVO Sound artist Roy Woods, which quickly became his fastest-growing song to date.
Earlier this summer, the rising star performed at Sabaidee Fest in California, the largest annual Southeast Asian Music and Cultural festival in the United States. He has been featured in Etalk, RANGE Magazine, and more, with the latter stating that he “stands out from the pack with the kind of self-assuredness possessed by some of the greats.”
More new music and exciting announcements are on the way from PARIS. for the rest of this year.
