Today, rising hip-hop/RandB sensation PARIS. releases his debut EP, Northside, backed by Partners Record Label and Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The new body of work includes the highly anticipated title track “Northside,” which PARIS. has been teasing across his social platforms and during live shows. The project also includes the hit single “Take the Lead” with Roy Woods, and previously released singles “4th Quarter,” “BNB,” and more.

The title track highlights PARIS.’ directorial debut with an official visualizer out now. The song describes his ideal partner over a smooth and bouncy beat produced by Just Ideas (Farruko, Dom Vallie, Lil Berete). “Lil’ baby and she bad from the North side, you know I like ‘em bad, slim, thick, on the short side,” sings PARIS. in the hook. He offers to shower her with lavish gifts in his first verse, rapping, “Pink Rolls-Royce for you baby, SKIMS and Dior for you baby.” He continues to flex the penthouse condo he bought for her, and the butterfly doors on her flashy car.

About the release of his debut EP Northside and its title track, PARIS. says, “As an artist, choosing songs for my fans to hear can be an artistic challenge. However, Northside was put together to give my fans a sense of where I’m heading. A lot of the songs have a slightly different taste but embody the expensive sound I bring. These records all touch aspects of my personality, whether that’s girls, honesty, or hustling. A ‘handshake and intro’ to all my listeners.

Northside adds to a prolific run for PARIS., who co-signed with Partners Record Label and Universal Music Canada in 2023 and has since released a steady stream of music, consistently leveling up with each release. It all started with “Ice Spice,” released in August 2023, racking up hundreds of thousands of streams before he dropped “IDK” a few months later. He kicked off 2024 with “Me N Mines,” a collaboration with California rapper MBNel, before jumping back into his RandB bag with “BNB” and dropping the Toronto Raptors-approved “4th Quarter.” This summer, PARIS. released “Take the Lead” with OVO Sound artist Roy Woods, which quickly became his fastest-growing song to date, totalling over 670K global streams since its launch.

Tonight, PARIS. and his PlayedYou team celebrate Northside with a special release event in Toronto. Earlier this summer, the rising star performed at Sabaidee Fest in California, the largest annual Southeast Asian Music and Cultural festival in the United States. He has been featured in Etalk, RANGE Magazine, and more, with the latter stating that he “stands out from the pack with the kind of self-assuredness possessed by some of the greats.”

More new music and exciting announcements are on the way from PARIS. for the rest of this year.
