AUR, a Karachi-Pakistan based trio, has captured the attention of global audiences over the past year with their infectious blend of chill lo-fi and pop music. Their songwriting resonates deeply with young listeners, creating moments in pop culture. Their upcoming two-single EP, Humsafar, delves into the emotional complexities of love. Humsafar promises to strengthen their connection with their growing fanbase while offering a fresh perspective on love’s nuanced journey.
In a pursuit to connect with their young diaspora fandom AUR will embark on an exciting North American tour performing in over 10 cities including New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary throughout January and February 2025. The trio will also be engaging with students across multiple universities, offering a deeper connection with the next generation of listeners, creators, and cultural influencers. This tour brings AUR’s unique soundscape to their North American fanbase.
Talking about their new release, AUR said, “Humsafar is about the quiet selflessness that comes with love—the moments when you give without expecting anything in return. We are thrilled to bring our music to North America during our upcoming tour in the coming month and create an unforgettable experience for our fans.”
The first track, “Kabhi Kabhi” is a soulful ballad in which the protagonist opens his heart, expressing a deep yearning for connection and understanding. The second track, “Humsafar” offers a heartfelt response as the distance between the lovers fade and the sentiment shifts from isolation to companionship. Together, these two singles create an intimate call-and-response narrative, deeply rooted in the evocative beauty of Urdu poetry.
AUR’s single “Tu Hai Kahan” has crossed borders with over 500 million streams across platforms and has featured at #1 on the Global Viral Charts on Spotify. The song continues to rank in the Top 50 Spotify charts in India and Pakistan for over a year. After the massive global success of “Tu Hai Kahan” AUR got the opportunity to collaborate with former One Direction member and RandB artist ZAYN, who worked with them on a new version of the song, reaching multiple chart positions.
