Today, GRAMMY Award-winning multi-platinum artist Zedd releases his first album in nearly a decade, Telos, a 10-song masterwork that combines his classically trained roots with the singular dance-pop sound that underpins his incredible career. On Telos, Zedd is joined by a diverse cast of collaborators: rock monoliths John Mayer and Muse, alt-pop stars Remi WolfDora Jar and Bea Miller, modern Irish folk virtuosos the olllam, and the iconic voice of the late, great Jeff BuckleyStream Telos HERE via Interscope Records/Universal Music Canada.

Following a legendary run of globe-conquering singles, Zedd’s third studio album was conceived as a music-lover’s album, complex and innovative at every turn, but without sacrificing the bright melodies and glitchy hooks fans of “The Middle” and “Stay” have come to expect. Nearly every song travels through moods, genres, and ideas — threads of world music, jazzy breakdowns, psychedelic soundscapes, booming bass, orchestral strings, and endless sonic textures. Telos offers a profound listening experience seamlessly transitioning through each record, from the alternately brooding and soaring opener, “Out of Time” with Miller, to the 6-minute, Bach-inspired finale, “1685” featuring the entirety of Muse. See full tracklist below.

“Telos has multiple meanings, one of them being ‘accomplishment’ or ‘completion of human art,’” says Zedd of his new album’s Greek title. “I've always dreamed of creating an album that, 30 years on, I can look back and be incredibly proud of. That will be just as amazing then as it is right now, because it's not based on trends or sound design that might fall off — it's based on music, just like the albums that shaped me growing up that I still adore to this day. With Telos, I created something I didn’t think I was capable of — it just took a bit of time to get there.”

The new release drops just days before Zedd’s North American Telos Tour kicks off with his beloved Zedd in the Park festival. The event has sold out every year so far (2018, 2019, 2022), and is now back for its first two-day edition, on September 6 and 7 in Los Angeles, presented by Insomniac. With ticket pre-sales alone, massive demand across the entire run resulted in numerous sold-out shows and additional dates for not only the festival, but also New York, Boston, Dallas, Seattle, and San Francisco – with Zedd playing four consecutive nights at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. The tour will conclude October 15 at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. More info HERE and full list of dates below.

Zedd first announced Telos in spectacular fashion at EDC Las Vegas 2024, unleashing a small army of drones overhead during his set’s finale to spell out “Z3 8/30.” He repeated the feat while headlining Perry’s Stage at Lollapalooza this month, this time revealing “1 (800) 602 – ZEDD,” a hotline that served up a 2-minute album preview. He also invited onto the stage genre-bending phenomenon Remi Wolf to perform their infectious, upbeat Telos single, “Lucky.”

Fans fired up by that early release (and first single “Out of Time”) have plenty of immersive music to explore on Telos. One major highlight being Zedd’s careful reinterpretation of “Dream Brother,” which marks the only time Jeff Buckley’s estate has given an artist the rights to his work. Fleshed out by works like “Sona” — a harmonious collision of Irish flutework and arena electronics — and the breezy, Mayer-starring “Automatic Yes,” Telos is a compelling ode to all the marvels of Zedd’s musical mind, and his most authentic, imaginative offering yet.
