The 59th Academy of Country Music Awards, presented by Prime Video in partnership with Dick Clark Productions, is set to pay homage to the enduring legacy of country music icon Toby Keith. The ACM Awards, which will be available for global streaming exclusively on Prime Video, will take place at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas on Thursday, May 16 at 8 p.m. EDT / 7 p.m. CDT / 5 p.m. PDT.
One of the evening's standout moments will be a special tribute to Toby Keith, featuring a performance of his classic hit "Should've Been a Cowboy" by Country music superstar Jason Aldean. Aldean, a three-time ACM Entertainer of the Year and reigning ACM Artist of the Decade, will deliver a heartfelt rendition of the beloved song in honor of Keith's indelible contributions to the genre.
Toby Keith, a recipient of 14 ACM Awards, including multiple accolades for ACM Top Male Vocalist and ACM Album of the Year, remains a towering figure in Country music. Named ACM Entertainer of the Year twice, in 2002 and 2003, Keith's impact on the genre is celebrated and enduring.
Hosted by the legendary Reba McEntire, a 16-time ACM Award winner, the 59th ACM Awards promises an evening filled with captivating performances and memorable collaborations. Joining Aldean on stage will be a star-studded lineup of artists, including Kelsea Ballerini, Kane Brown, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Noah Kahan, Avril Lavigne, Miranda Lambert, Post Malone, Parker McCollum, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, Nate Smith, Chris Stapleton, Gwen Stefani, and Lainey Wilson.
