Hrishikesh Hirway, creator and host of the acclaimed podcast-turned-Netflix-series Song Exploder, shares his new instrumental album The Red Lantern; stream HERE. The collection of 13 original tracks was created as the soundtrack for the video game of the same name, a dog-sledding adventure game set in the Alaskan wilderness. The game was created by Timberline Studios and released for Nintendo Switch and PC.

Critic Amanda Petrusich, reviewing Hirway’s sophomore album as The One AM Radio, wrote that his music “invites big, natural metaphors, somehow only easily comparable to snow-capped mountain ranges…” That mood proves to be a constant through Hirway’s varied musical projects; The Red Lantern is a record of soothing, peaceful compositions.

Beyond The One AM Radio, which released four albums, Hirway is also one half of the duo MOORS, with rapper/actor Lakeith Stanfield. As a composer, his credits include the Netflix original series Everything Sucks, the theme for ESPN’s 30 for 30 podcast, and now the theme for the Song Exploder series on Netflix.
