The nationwide shortage of concerts hasn't stopped the LA band Stretched from playing at some of their favorite venues...they just don't go inside. In the music video for the band's new single "Situational," the group performs on the street in front of some famous venues like The Troubadour and The Wiltern.
"We miss live shows the most and feel deeply for fellow artists whose tours have been canceled," says vocalist Brent Campanelli. "During a depressing year in addition to lifting spirits, we hope this video raises awareness for artist and venue support. #saveourstages"
"Situational" comes via the band's latest EP Elucidated, released last October.
"This single is a beacon of light and hope," says vocalist Brent Campanelli. "Our EP consists of mostly sad yet energetic songs, but this one was written with the intention to be positive and uplifting. It was inspired by someone close to the band and the lyrics are directed towards young people who don’t realize their potential in this world and no longer want to live. We hope that this song speaks to those people and changes their hearts before it's too late."
Shortly after releasing their debut demo "Idea of You" in 2019, Stretched got busy performing locally at some of their favorite venues and spent most of that year writing and recording the band’s self-funded EP, Elucidated.
Produced andamp; engineered by Jon Yeston, Elucidated packs a powerful punch of energy from start to finish. Drawing inspiration from 90's punk/grunge and early 2000's emo, this alternative-emo rock group has a fresh take on the scene they grew up on.
