ABOUT THE ROLE
The Manager of Music and Content Partnerships will serve as an integral member of the Music Department, responsible for developing Peloton’s music and content partnerships to optimize member growth and engagement. The partnerships team works closely with partners across Peloton to align the scope of music and content to team goals. This position considers how content plays a role in Peloton’s business partnerships.
The ideal candidate is naturally collaborative, strategic, resourceful, organized, warm, kind, detail-oriented, and has partnership experience within the entertainment industry. The position will report to the Senior Director of Music and Content Partnerships.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Serve as a representative and core member of Peloton’s external-facing partnerships team in a positive, convincing, and enthusiastic manner
- Identify opportunities to renew and strengthen partnerships and the Peloton community using creativity, storytelling, data and insights; build opportunities to accomplish new business goals
- Maintain knowledge and curiosity about industry categories across fitness, sports, media, tech, music and entertainment
- Design, build and share thoughtful proposals with artists and partners that lead to lasting and successful partnerships
- Cultivate authentic and positive relationships with existing, new, and potential content and music partners and internal functions including Programming,
- Marketing, Product, Comms and more
- Compile post-mortem analyses to determine areas for optimization and improvement, and recap presentations for our external partners
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- 4+ years of professional experience that includes a mix of the following: media and entertainment experience, partnerships and business development, strategy or content development at a company making compelling, impactful content
- A solid understanding of the media rights landscape and business models
- Drive to complete strategic projects from ideation to execution in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Strong business / financial acumen – ability to form judgments and actionable recommendations
- The ability to invent and deliver convincing pitches through spoken and written communications, including comfort creating high-level presentations within tight timeframes
- Pro-active, enthusiastic, strategic, tactical and detail-oriented approach; proven ability to work across an organization at all levels with technical, creative, and executive team members
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner, navigating internal and external communications cross-functionally
- Direct experience with talent is a must
