The Old Church Concert Hall in Portland is more than just a venue, it is an experience. Set in a beautiful de-sanctified church that was built in 1882, The Old Church Concert Hall is on the National Register of Historic Places. The venue produces and presents artistic musical programs that reflect and enhance the cultural life of the Portland Oregon music community while preserving and celebrating the building’s historic architecture. The Old Church Concert Hall is a true listening room, where listening to, and becoming immersed in, the art being presented from the stage is the heart of the experience. The venue is also one of the most welcoming live music venues you will ever step foot inside.

The Old Church Concert Hall as been referred to as Portland's Sanctuary of Sound, a historic landmark and concert hall with world-class acoustics and one-of-a-kind ambiance. Located in downtown Portland’s cultural West End, The Old Church Concert Hall is just steps away from urban parks, upscale hotels and city nightlife. Ample guest parking and catering access is available. For decades this iconic building at S.W. 11th Avenue and Clay Street has brought people together through expertly curated activities and performances like a free weekly classical concert Wednesdays at noon, as well as a variety of musical genres, lectures and other events.

Though The Old Church Concert Hall is indeed set inside of a church, there are definitely alcoholic beverages available and no, they are not of the communion wine variety. They have a full bar available. The old church has available seating capacity for around 300 people and a highly ecclectic concert schedule which includes recent and upcoming performances by artists like California Guitar Trio, Karla Bonoff, The Small Glories, Damian Jurado, JS Ondara, Dan Bern, John Doe, Michael Gira and many more.
